Case Study Partner Soccer Schools

Partner Soccer Schools were introduced in the summer of 2017 in conjunction with grassroots football clubs in the South Shropshire & North Herefordshire area; following a pilot Soccer School hosted by Leominster Town Football Club in Whitsun Half Term of the same year.

Partner Soccer Schools have been hugely successful and allow football clubs to host Shrewsbury Town in the Community and their coaches in the familiar surroundings of their home grounds and provide a fun and safe environment for players of each club to enjoy fun filled Soccer School days. Donations from every player attending are given by Shrewsbury Town in the Community back to the grassroots club which has provided vital funds to partner clubs in buying new equipment and covering running costs. Mark Lloyd, Former Chairman of Leominster Town FC, was instrumental in the pilot of the Partner Soccer School Programme and is overwhelmed by the benefits given to his club.

“Shrewsbury Town in the Community approached Leominster Town in the summer of 2017 explaining the idea that they had and we immediately jumped at the chance to take part in the pilot course. The Soccer School days are well planned, provide great opportunities for children to take part in physical activity instead of being sat at home in front of the PS4 all holidays!!”
