After the fantastic year we have had throughout 2018, we are looking forward to the launch and expansion of several more projects which will further our vision of helping those in the community to reach their potential and achieve their goals.
Together Stronger a Legacy for Shropshire, will be a vehicle for local organisations to work more closely with professional sports clubs and like-minded community and voluntary groups in the challenge to improve health.
The all-age, all-sport, all-inclusive programme is aimed at improving the health and well-being of people in Shropshire irrespective of age, race, gender or ability through increased physical activity and targeted health messages.
The Community Football Hub will provide Shrewsbury Town in the Community the platform to increase the delivery of innovative projects in our Football Development and Health and Inclusion programmes alongside offering the wider community an inspirational venue next to the Montgomery Waters Meadow.
Shrewsbury Town in the Community have launched partnerships with Shrewsbury Academy School and Meole Brace Secondary School to build a relationship with their local Football Club in a move which furthers our Partners Schools Programme.
Coaches from Shrewsbury Town in the Community will be working alongside each school to provide opportunities for students to link with the Football Club in terms of rewards and work experience.
The coaches will work with individual students who will benefit from a one to one mentoring scheme, to help them with both home and school life, and provide rewards for achieving agreed targets.
