Shrewsbury Town in the Community has supported people and communities across Shropshire for almost 25 years. Success and growth on the pitch by Shrewsbury Town FC has been replicated by the football club’s official charity.
Over the past 3 years, Shrewsbury Town in the Community’s reach has grown beyond all expectations and the results have been staggering. We now deliver over 30 projects which aim to fulfil our three key missions; to improve health and well-being, create better life chances, and build a stronger community.
Our projects are designed to allow all participants to embark on a positive journey and within this review you will see just a few examples of the thousands that we have reached throughout the year.
The rapid growth of the charity could not be achieved without our dedicated and skilled workforce and we are indebted to them for their ongoing passion and commitment to making a real difference within their community.
Local and national partnerships continue to strengthen, and we are fortunate to have the support of Shrewsbury Town Football Club, and particularly the chairman and board, who continue to put community at the forefront of their thoughts across all areas of the club.
The next 12 months will see further developments within our cancer rehabilitation, active ageing, and facilities projects; alongside continued expansion of our education and schools projects.
This is the most exciting time in our short history as we will review, develop and deliver a new strategy that will meet the needs of the community and continue the grow our reach and delivery across Shropshire.
